Storable is a leader in integrating technology with physical storage facilities for businesses and consumers alike. When Storable originally approached Carson Design for design services, they were moving from a high-rise centrally located building to a one-story warehouse style building near The Domain. Storable, focusing on the self-storage industry, found this building interesting from the beginning. With its inherent industrial qualities, it helped our team play off of the raw architectural characteristics. By demolishing the interior walls and ceilings we were able to expose beautiful skylights. The skylights ultimately helped us create a space plan for Storable that kept the office open and bright. This was very important as the rectilinear floor plan only has windows on the North and South side. Ultimately, this raw and industrial space allowed Storable to define their design standards moving forward in various locations. The two most important characteristics being BOLD and PURPOSEFUL design.
