CAD/BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING | Autodesk® Revit® (Building Information Modeling software) and Architectural Desktop allow for rapid design and documentation of both large and small projects. Integrated intelligence allows for increased accuracy and efficiency of production of construction documents. This speeds up the process and decreases errors. In addition, it contributes to the ability to see the virtual building and forecast sustainability issues pre-construction.
RENDERING PROGRAMS | Autodesk® AutoCAD® , Revit®, 3d Studio Max® and Combustion® allow us to generate accurate representations of our designs. The “real-time” 3D design capabilities and integration of Revit’s computer Building Information Model (BIM) achieves a strong graphical representation early in the design process.
COST ESTIMATING | In every project cost is always considered as a design factor. Construction is comprised of many components and each of these impacts the overall cost of a project. In all projects we work closely with construction professionals to align design with our clients budgets. Currently, Carson Design Associates is developing software integration with our drawings to provide material take-offs and for cost estimating in collaboration with contractors.
WEB-BASED FACILITY MANAGEMENT & MOVE COORDINATION TOOL | Part of our continuous quest is to provide increased service to our clients. SPIRAL was designed and developed in-house as a Facility Management and Move Coordination tool. It is comprised of several modules providing accurate time, space, employee, asset and project tracking and coordination. Eli Lilly, Lincoln Financial Group and Conseco are among the clients using the SPIRAL application in their daily operations.
SYSTEMS FURNITURE PLANNING SOFTWARE | Design Express and CAP are utilized to accurately and independently design and specify new or re-configured systems furniture areas of projects. This approach allows clients to know they are getting the best value for their money and are guaranteed accurate results.
LIFE CYCLE COST ANALYSIS & MANAGEMENT | Carson Design Associates has developed a sophisticated software program to track all finishes and furnishings of a facility and be able to forecast each separate finish’s life span and replacement cost. This software is capable of forecasting total facility expenditures over several years and identifies when finishes and furnishings of a facility will need to be replaced and the associated cost. Information can be tracked for every room in a facility.
